Description
In 1965, William Fehr donated his unique collection of artworks to South Africans, to be placed in Rust en Vreugd, a short distance from the Castle. Rust en Vreugd was built in 1778 and is believed to be the finest surviving example of 18th century urban architecture in South Africa. It is set in a period-styled garden with citrus trees, rosemary hedges, heritage roses as well as indigenous shrubs, lavendar and medicinal herbs.
